Personal
Sumbawa
Sumbawa is a place that does not give itself away all at once. This short film follows the island at its own pace: long roads, empty coastlines, small moments between the surf, and the kind of light that makes you stop the bike just to look.
Shot as a personal project, the approach was simple: travel light, stay curious, and leave room for whatever happened next. I wanted the film to feel less like a guide and more like a memory, tactile, sun-worn, and a little bit untethered from time.
The focus is on the rhythm of being there. Dawn starts, dusty drives, salt on your skin, and those quiet stretches where there is nowhere particular to be. Sumbawa has a rawness that makes the smallest details feel cinematic, so the edit stays close to texture, movement, and atmosphere.
